Hi Hugh Rooney,

Myname is Lily & I am currently an A2 photography student. I wanted to know if you could provide some background informaton about yourself for my artist background research? Would it also be possible for you to answer these questions for me please?

1. How does patterns and shapes influence the way you take photos?

2. Isn't everything in the world practically patterns and shapes? How do you separate them out into which to focus on?

3. Do you believe photographing patterns and shapes is an "easy" task?

4. Is composition vital in patterns and shapes? Or is it more or less just an "outcom" of what you captured?

5. What influenced you into focusing on patterns and shapesarchitecture?

6. What should I look out for when taking patterns and shapes photos?

Thakn you so much for your time!

Stunning photos of a beautiful country! Must be the genes from the Irish grandparents, but I am drawn back to these photos time and again, itching to pick up a paintbrush and start mixing colors.

You are quite a photographer. Do you currently shoot utilizing only the 18-70mm lens on the D200 (or equivalent)?

Hello Mr. Rooney :) I've just spent 2 hours looking at your work, and I'm in awe. I'm here a lot to study animals, trees, and stones (wildlife artist), and the landscapes I've seen generally bore me, but even your simplest images are striking. You are my favorite photographer! :) I'm posting a link to your work on my Facebook wall so that my family and friends can love you, too!
