Noticed you had flags for all your visitors.
Noticed no Grenada flag listed.
How can I get listed?

MY DAD, GEORGE R. JOHNSON MILITARY POLICE, WAS STATIONED T KADENA AFB FROM 1962 - 1964. WE LIVED IN A SMALL SEASIDE VILLAGE I THINK CALLED CHATAM. . US KIDS WOULD FO DOWN TO THE SEAL WALL AND SLIDE DOWN IT WHEN THE TIDE WAS OUT. WE RODE THE SCHOOL BUS TO KADENA TO ATTEND KADENA ELEMENTARY. THEN WE MOVED TO ANOTHER HOUSE IN KITIMAE, BUT THE "STEALIE BOYS" CAME AND ROBBED THE NEIGHBOURHOOD RIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS OF 1962 AND DAD PUT IN FOR VASE HOUSING. WE GOT TO LIVE IN THE BRAND NEW SEBELLE HOUSING AND GOT TO WALK TO KADENA ELEMENTARY. BUT I AGED OUT AD HAD TO ATTEND A JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN AN OLD ARMY BASE WITH ARMED GUARDS AND RAZOR WORED FENCES. IN QUONSET HUTS WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING AND MAN OH MAN WAS IT HOT. HERE THE DEAL THOU I FORGOT THE NAME OF THAT OLD ARMY BASE THE dod USED FOR A SCHOOL UNTIL NEW SCHOOL WAS BUILT BACK THEN. IF ANYONE KNOWS THE NAME OR AYNDED SCHOOL DURING THOSE YEARS LET ME KNOW BY SENDIN AN EMAIL AT LEGEL134@MSN.COM.

I lived there as an "Army Brat" from mid 1954 until mid 1958. I lived at 1802?? Sukiran. My father was Dr. (Col). J. Sidney Rice, a dermatologist at Mercy Hospital. I attended 6th through 9th grade on Okinawa. I had a great time there.

I lived on the Rock in the '60s. Attended Sukiran and Kadena elementary schools. Fond memories of rock candy, John Chapman - teacher, but most of all the absolute freedom to roam the island.

I knew Ellie, Betty Havira, Betty Lanuza! They were a couple years older than me but they let me hang with them! Lived in Oyama beneath MCAS Futemna. I think we were there 1960 to 1964.

I also lived in Machina to in 1957. Lived right across from the commissary and playground. The house number was 1523.

Hi David

I came here a second time, and I'm glad I did - I took the time to look at many of your photos - and you have, without doubt, the best collection of photos from Korea.

It's a pity that although I go to Korea nearly every year (my parents are there), I only get to see it in mid-winter, where colours are very difficult to find. So thank you for filling me in on what it's like to be there during spring, summer and autumn.

Keep up the great work

Hello David,
My name is Dable. I'm Bernard Tse's friend and know your gallery through him. He told me about your excellent work. First I doubt .... wooo.... but after viewing all your galleries, AMAZING!!! Are you a full time photographer? If you're just an amateur, just envy on all your sensitive and inspiration. Inborn talent is of course important but is there anyway to train up this? I think you're especially good in "colour" and also "the composition of a photo". Hope to see your new work soon!!
Cheers,
Dable :)

David,
I can't find another way to contact you... I found your photos on a Google search for archives of Korean photos. I develop exhibits for the Austin Children's Museum and we are currently working on an exhiibt about Korean culture for kids that will open here in January and then traveling nationally to 10 children's museums. We are looking for photos to use in the exhibit and think some of yours might work well. How can we go about getting permission to use the photos?
Thanks,

Hi.
Very much surprised that my country Korea should have such beauty.
You've found the inner esthetics of things Korean , which we are prone to overlook.
Some of the pictures are the works I'd like to introduce to Korean students, who might open their eyes for the Korea-unique delicacy, if permitted.
Really amazing relealation of color combined with peculiar Korean patterns.
Thank you.

With best regards

Hi,

David – Visited your gallery on pbase, it has marvelous collection. Could you please confirm, the name embossed on all the photographs is with help of ADOBE/photshop like software or some other software.

Means – this is done, editing each photo using these software
or with some software which do it automatically for all photos in a
folder/collection.

Hope a early response from you. You can send email on my hotmail address.

Hi,

I have to make a poster for a korean cultural center in Malaysia.
I'd like to use your pictures legally. Considering the fact that this
center isn't making any profits, and just aim at promoting the korean culture
abroad, would you accept to let me use your picture of Mugunghwa as the
raw material for this poster.

By advance for your answer, thank you.

David,
Your photographs are truly beautiful. Clearly you have a close bond with the natural world. Your eye for what makes an excellent image is honed very sharp. It goes to show that you can have the best equipment in the world, but if you don't have the "eye" for what makes a good photograph..it doesn't matter what camera you own.
Lovely gallery.
Best wishes,
